FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What is Soy wax?

    • Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it a solid at room temperature. The leftover bean husks are commonly used as animal feed.

  2. Benefits of Soy wax?

    • Soy wax is natural, and a completely renewable source. Due to its sustainability, a well-made soy candle will burn cleanly and slowly. In addition, soy wax is safe for the skin and can be used as a natural moisturizer.

  3. Do you do private label/custom scents?

    • Not at this moment, Sorry!

  4. Do you ship internationally?

    • Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally at this time.

CANDLE CARE

If you love your latest Honeybee Candle Co. scent, it’s no surprise you’d like to keep it around as long as possible. Candles require a little care to maintain though. Here are a few ways to keep that scent smelling great:

  1. The first step is to grab those scissors and cut away what doesn’t work! Did you know that trimming off a bit of the wick after prolonged usage keeps that Honeybee candle burning as long as possible? The length of the wick should be just about a quarter of an inch above the candle surface, so keep an eye out.

  2. Next, it’s important to remember burn times. You’ll want to allow the candle to burn at least long as it takes for the entire top layer to turn to wax (but no longer than 4 hours at a time to keep the scent pure). This ensures no tunneling effect and that you’ll have an optimal experience with each burn.

  3. And lastly, location is key. Make sure you’re burning your favorite Honeybee candle in a safe spot that is completely flat and free from any draft.

  4. It’s just that simple to keep your Honeybee glowing for as long as possible!
